Tips for Delivering a Great Learning Lab

Plan to Succeed

  • Subject matter experts with special knowledge or expertise are often the “sizzle” that sells the steak.
  • Practice makes perfect. Speakers should rehearse content off-camera to sound polished and prepared. Have at least one rehearsal session to ensure speakers are comfortable with the webinar platform operation.

Tailor to Your Audience – Skip the Pitch!

  • Time and again, LTEN members tell us that they DO NOT want a sales pitch. This Lab should be focused on the audience and address topics of interest to them. Help these learning leaders see your value and expertise.
  • Integrate a call to action. Consider bonus opportunities to drive leads to your site in meaningful ways during your presentation. Ex. “Visit ABCwidgets.com/ebook to download a copy of the Fake eBook which features the 5 Tools CLOs are Using to do XYZ.”
  • Create a learning experience that is relevant for learning executives and heads of learning. This is your chance to put your expertise on display for this special audience of key decision-makers.

Grab Attention

  • Keep your webinar title short & sweet. Titles should accurately reflect the content but also be memorable and appealing.
  • Engage your audience with an opening slide containing a relevant and interesting fact or anecdote.
  • When technology allows, it’s best practice for speakers to appear on camera.
  • Outline what you’ll be discussing. Make it clear that people will leave with actionable advice and recommendations.

Create Engagement

  • Use slides to illustrate your points, not as a visual crutch — and don’t simply read content from the deck.
  • A single speaker is great but discussions and moderated panels are more interactive, and will often enliven and engage your audience more than a stagnant presentation.

Program Ad Specs

The digital program book is distributed to all Forum participants and includes a directory of the LTEN Board of Directors, agenda, keynote biographies and contact information of Forum participants. Sponsor ads will appear throughout the program book by alpha order.

  • Email your 11” wide x 8.5” ad no later than Friday, September 6, 2024
  • 300 dpi resolution
  • Include hyperlinks and tracking codes/links as needed
  • Send artwork and questions to Nannette Nolan at nnolan@L-TEN.org.

Shipping Instructions

Shipping Instructions

As a sponsor you can include a pre-approved item in the attendee bag. Please reach out to Gregg @ ghaunroth@l-ten.org to get your item pre-approved to avoid duplicate items. Don’t know what to send? A one-page capabilities brochure is always a solid choice.

BOXES ____ OF _____

Send your member bag items to arrive by September 23rd. Send your tracking information to Cayme @ cmomita@l-ten.org. Do not ship anything other than your item to be added to the attendee bag. Any collateral should be shipped to one of your team members staying at the hotel. Remember per the feedback we received from LESF sponsors, you will no longer be staffing a 6 ft tabletop in a separate room, instead you have a much smaller 24” round high table to display collateral in the Foyer. See the details under Sponsor Tables below.

Sponsor Tables

Sponsor tables, which are 24″ highboys, will be set up around the perimeter of the ballroom foyer for the event’s duration. These tables will receive great exposure during the Networking Reception & Charity Activity on day one, and the Networking Refreshment Break on day two. These are the only time you will need to staff your table. While you will be engaged in sessions with attendees for most of the event, you may leave your collateral materials at your table as a member of the LTEN team will be present in the Foyer area. Electricity will not be available. Please do not bring pop-up banners or place anything on the floor. You can bring what will fit on a 24” round table.

Executive Exchange

The Executive Exchange consists of 3 to 4 pre-scheduled meetings with attendees, held at individual tables in a private room adjacent to the general session room. This exchange will be taking place on Wednesday from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Sponsor schedules will be provided prior to the conference. Attached is a diagram of the Executive Exchange room, for your reference. Each sponsor table is a 6’ x 30” table with ivory linen, and sponsors are welcome to bring branded tablecloths or runners for the exchange tables. Please note that electricity will not be available at the Executive Exchange.
