Industry Partnerships BI WORLDWIDE
100 percent of all representatives were certified.
Life sciences training is frequently about the collaboration of provider and client – or clients. A three-way alliance helped BI WORLDWIDE earn the Industry Partnership honor in the 5th Annual LTEN Excellence Awards.
Novartis and Amgen had partnered on preventative migraine treatments and Alzheimer’s disease, and knew they needed launch training to immerse the audience in the patient journey. BI WORLDWIDE was selected to design, develop and deliver the training for a three-day meeting for more than 700 attendees, with just four months to pull it all together.
Starting with a design session to start the launch plan, BI WORLDWIDE worked with the client companies to create objectives and approaches for the training. The training materials were designed to be independent from brand materials but strategically direct participants to specific tools, pages and messages.
Both client teams were being built out and as clients joined, they had varying feedback on the training. The team had to design the solutions to fit everyone’s need, making recommendations to ensure the content remained relevant and was developed effectively.
“Our approach put the field at the center of every decision,” said Natalie Hurley, learning strategy director for BI WORLDWIDE. “This ensured the content was highly relevant and that the overall experience was meaningful. The field was communicated with through the meeting app as well as a detailed participant workbook.”
Materials created also include manager guides, training leader guides, broadcast scripts and a total office call simulation that 89 percent of the field rated as highly valuable and ranked it the “#1 session of the meeting.” Afterward, 100 percent of all representatives were certified.
“The Novartis and Amgen training organizations were extremely pleased,” Hurley said, “citing this as one of their most successful launches and ‘the new way training should be done.’”
