Meeting Your 2021 LTEN Members of the Year
DIRECTIONS – Dawn Brehm
We’re looking forward to the LTEN Excellence Awards, part two
This is an exciting time. Next month, from Nov. 8 to 11, we’re presenting the 50th LTEN Annual Conference, a hybrid event bringing together in-person and virtual attendees, training partners and presenters. Held both at the Gaylord Rockies and in your office space, it’s going to be an innovative experience that I hope you’ll be able to join.
That’s exciting enough; after nearly two years, it’s going to be good to be in the same room with colleagues again. What’s more, the virtual aspect has had us rethinking everything, which is always a valuable process.
But what I’m extra excited about is the LTEN Excellence Awards, part two. In a virtual ceremony this past June, we announced most of the 2021 award winners. (If you weren’t able to join us, you can view it at www.l-ten.org/awards/)
We’ll announce those Members of the Year – in both the practitioner and provider categories – on Wed., Nov. 10. If you can’t join us, we’ll make the award presentations available afterward.
I can’t say much more without “spilling the beans,” but our Board of Directors selected really deserving choices, based on open nominations. Join us if you can, and be ready to congratulate some impressive LTEN colleagues.
Speaking of congratulating award winners, while the big reveal will be those Members of the Year, we’ll also be recognizing the other 2021 winners at the conference. If you haven’t already seen that impressive group of winners (and finalists) for this year’s 7th Annual LTEN Excellence Awards, it’s a list you can learn from.
We can help there:
- Please check out the special awards issue of LTEN Focus on Training magazine, published in August. You can find that and other issues at www.LTEN.org/Focus.
- We once again invited all Excellence Awards nominees to submit posters detailing their award-worthy work, and many of them eagerly accepted. The virtual poster session is open to live or virtual attendees, or any LTEN member, at www.L-TEN.org/awards_posters/.
I have one more bit of award-related excitement to share with you. Given the late date for this year’s awards conclusion, there’s going to be a quick turnaround for the 8th Annual LTEN Excellence Awards. Please do check out the ceremonies and the posters, and get properly excited to share your own work. We’ll be opening 2022 nominations soon.
Exciting, isn’t it?
