It never hurts to have a little pre-event tutorial
As LTEN prepares to launch an exciting new virtual event, it’s fair for members to have some questions. LTEN Connect promises to be an easy-to-access program, and we think you’ll have no problem navigating your way through the various keynote presentations, LTEN Talks, Learning Labs or workshops. You’ll be able to network, meet folks in the Learning Village exhibit hall and attend the online poster sessions.
That said, it never hurts to have a little pre-event tutorial. To that end, we’ve put together some frequently asked questions that might help you navigate LTEN Connect. You can find more questions and answers at www.LTENconnect.com/FAQ,

What is the virtual conference experience like?
The virtual learning platform will be a mix of live and pre-recorded sessions, labs, keynotes and LTEN Talks. The event also features a virtual exhibit hall learning village and communication tools to help you connect with peers, facilitators and exhibitors.
Upon entering the LTEN Connect virtual platform, you’ll come to a main landing page. You’ll be able to see the complete agenda and select which sessions you’ll attend.
There’s a messaging tool on every screen where you’ll be able to interact with other attendees and participants depending on what portion of the platform you’re in. If you’re in a session, you’ll be able to message the speaker and all of those listening in on the session.
LTEN Connect features an exhibit hall that will be open for the entire three days of the event. Here, you can learn more about learning partners, download their materials, watch videos and message with staff members.
In addition to the live sessions, this virtual event will feature the Hall of Fame induction on Tuesday and awards ceremony on Wednesday. You’ll be able to see award poster presentations in the showcase section of the event portal.
We’ve made networking easy by also giving attendees an event app to keep track of event updates, meeting request alerts and games as a fun and engaging way to explore the event.
When is LTEN Connect?
We are hosting this from 11 a.m. until around 2:30 p.m. Eastern on the following days:
- Tuesday, June 9, 2020
- Wednesday, June 10, 2020
- Thursday, June 11, 2020
For some LTEN Connect offerings – like recorded sessions and the virtual poster session – you can connect anytime June 9-11 to access on-demand resources.
Is this the virtual version of LTEN Annual Conference?
In short, no.
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult-but-important decision to cancel the live conference. As much as we want to greet old and new friends in person, our primary concern is for the health and welfare of our members, our partners and our people.
We know how important it is for our members to connect and continue building on their skills and exploring innovative ways of leading their training organizations. The LTEN leadership decided to create an entirely new virtual learning platform – LTEN Connect.
LTEN Connect will feature a mix of live and pre-recorded content, an environment to meet with top training partners, keynotes and LTEN Talks, Learning Labs, and awards ceremonies. The online platform also includes plenty of ways to engage and connect with one another, speakers and exhibitors.
How can I participate in this virtual event?
If you’d like to register as an attendee, you can register through www.LTENconnect.com or through www.LTEN.org. LTEN members pay $195 for their three-day pass. The nonmember price is $394 for a three-day pass, which includes a one-year LTEN membership.

Do I need to download anything?
No. We’ll send you login information when you sign up and then you use the web-based platform, PheedLoop. According to the folks behind the technology:
“The virtual event experience is built for the web, so no one needs to download anything, ever. We do recommend the use of Google Chrome for the best experience. Face-to-face video networking also is entirely web-based.”
