Meet the 2021 LTEN Members of the Year

All four share a dedication and commitment to life sciences training.
Each year, the LTEN Board of Directors, as part of the annual LTEN Excellence Awards, hosts an open call for nominations for Members of the Year. The board reviews all nominees and from those candidates, selects that year’s “most valuable players” – in other words, the LTEN members who go the extra mile to support the network and the training industry in general.
In 2021, the 7th Annual LTEN Excellence Awards were handed out in two separate ceremonies about five months apart. Most winners were announced in a special June virtual ceremony, with the Members of the Year top honors saved for the in-person 50th LTEN Annual Conference.
At that November ceremony, LTEN announced the four amazing members who were awarded this year’s Members of the Year honors. Two members represented the practitioner side of the life sciences training industry and two were honored from the supplier side.
All four recipients share the same dedication and commitment to life sciences training and have been strong, reliable supporters of LTEN.
It’s our pleasure to introduce you to this year’s LTEN Members of the Year, Amity Cutaia of Astellas Pharma US, Jessica Knox of Metrix Group, Celeste Mosby of Syneos Health and Joe Wilmoth of Arcutis Biotherapeutics.
Nominate a Member

Amity Cutaia
Executive Director, Capabilities, Learning & Development, Astellas Pharma US
Amity Cutaia has been a member of LTEN since 2009, and she’s been active the whole time. In addition to serving on the LTEN Advisory Council, she’s also a member of the LTEN Field Training Committee and regularly volunteers in other areas, including assisting with the charity drives at the LTEN Annual Conference, authoring articles for LTEN Focus on Training magazine and speaking on LTEN webinars.
“What an absolute honor to be named as an LTEN Member of the Year for 2021,” Cutaia said. “This organization gives so much to so many of us in the learning and development community by allowing us to come together and connect in meaningful ways with our peers. I love spending time with other LTEN members who are as passionate about growing and developing people as I am!”
Jessica Knox
Chief Executive Officer, Metrix Group
Since joining LTEN about eight years ago, Jessica Knox has become a reliable and active supporter. She serves on the Preferred Industry Partner (PIP) Advisory Council and her organization, Metrix, regularly sponsors LTEN events and programs. Jessica has also written articles for LTEN Focus on Training magazine and delivered LTEN webinars.
“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized this year,” Knox said. “Big thank you to the staff and the board, and to all members who continue to make this such a special network to be a part of. I’m excited to see how LTEN continues to grow and evolve and look forward to supporting in any way I can.”
Celeste Mosby
Vice President, General Manager for Learning Solutions, Syneos Health
Celeste Mosby has been an LTEN member for nearly 20 years now, since joining in 2002. She’s been a strong supporter of LTEN the whole time, with her company frequently sponsoring LTEN events. Mosby also is a member of the LTEN Advisory Council and the LTEN PIP Advisory Council.
“I am truly humbled and so pleasantly surprised by this award,” Mosby said. “I would like to first thank LTEN, a truly amazing organization that I have had the pleasure of being a part of for 19 years. I remember my first LTEN meeting – Colin Powell was the keynote speaker! He had such a powerful message I will never forget: ‘No matter where we are in life, we should be always learning.’
“Thank you so much to my family, friends, peers and clients who I have had the pleasure of partnering with over the years. We are truly helping to evolve this industry together.”

Joe Wilmoth
Executive Director, Training & Development, Arcutis Biotherapeutics
Joe Wilmoth has packed a lot of membership in just about five years with LTEN. He’s hosted a webinar, written articles, spoke at an LTEN mixer and attended many LTEN events. He’s also brought teammates to the LTEN table and has generally been an evangelist for the network with his colleagues. The Member of the Year award is designed to recognize that level of involvement.
“Wow! What a terrific surprise,” Wilmoth said. “Thank you, LTEN, for this honor, and kudos to your resounding success as an organization that continues to support our learning & development community. I reflect on the colleagues and leaders who have been my inspiration through the years as I am continuously grateful for being able to do what I love and share the passion with others.”
