The Energy of Coming Together

Come feel the power of the energetic, giving atmosphere

If I sound exuberant here and there as I write this, there’s a good reason. Right now, I’m caught in this unique energetic plain … I’m literally sailing through an awesome space between LTEN events. And I’m officially inviting you to join me.

First, I’m writing this immediately after the 2022 LTEN Learning Executive Forum (LEF), which took place in March in Denver. I’m riding that wave right now – you know the one, it typically follows good meetings or good events. Part of it is fatigue from the planning and delivery process, but mostly it’s a good kind of “contact high,” and I think all our LEF attendees felt it.

And I hope we are continuing to feel it, because this good buzz is far from over. That’s where you come in.

Next month – June 13-16, 2022, to be precise – LTEN comes together in even larger numbers for our 51st LTEN Annual Conference. This time, we’ll be gathering in person in San Antonio, Texas. Space is still available, and I’d love to have you join us.

You’ll hear from expert speakers. You’ll meet with potential partners and suppliers. You’ll make new contacts, and you’ll enjoy old friends. You’ll learn and you’ll almost certainly teach too, by sharing with one another.

It’s hard to describe the energetic, giving atmosphere of the annual conference, but I know many of you reading this understand. If you do, I hope you’ll come back for more this year. If you don’t, I’d urge you to come experience this power.

I could go on, but we have a whole magazine-within-a-magazine to do that for me. As you flip and scroll through these pages, you’ll find the regular contents of a normal issue of LTEN Focus on Training magazine, and you’ll find a supplement previewing and spotlighting this June’s event. I trust these pages will help build your interest, so you’ll join us and add your own energy to the event.

So, let’s throw in another invitation here, since I’ve already invited you to join us: I’ll invite you to read this special double issue. There’s a lot of non-conference content in here, and I think some of the ideas and inspirations shared here will no doubt be topics of conversation next month. For instance:

  • You’ll read about how Jon Murray and his team at Novo Nordisk evolved training to meet the needs of today’s learner.
  • You’ll learn how immersive training experiences can help build a company culture.
  • We’ll show you how tracking business benefits might be the dashboard you need.
  • Is access an issue for your representatives? We’ll share approaches for access that might help you create closings.
  • There’s more – including leadership lessons that once again take me back to the energy of the LEF discussions – but I’ll let you uncover some of the treasures yourself.

You think I’m exuberant now? Catch me on June 13-16, and in the afterglow that follows.

Our job – and, really, yours too – is to keep this energy level active. You’ll see that happening this year with leadership content coming from our LEF program, and you’ll see it postconference too.

To that end, I invite you to not just attend, but really plug in to the conference. Come with questions, with an agenda, with goals for yourself, your team and your organization. Absorb all you can, share all you will. And when you leave, spread what you’ve learned, enact new ideas and reach for new heights.

I’m practically thrumming with energy right now. Are you?
