Life sciences training leader Hector Baeza has been selected to join the LTEN Board of Directors. His appointment begins immediately.
Baeza is executive director, U.S. commercial learning & development, at Gilead Sciences. Prior to joining Gilead in that role, Baeza spent six years at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, with most of the time as senior director of global training and development. He’s also worked with companies including Amgen and GlaxoSmithKline.
“Hector is a great choice to join the LTEN board and we’re excited to be working with him,” said Kathleen Herndon, Ph.D., LTEN executive director. “His background in learning, marketing, management and, of course, sales will give him a well-rounded view of LTEN operations. I know he’ll add bring great ideas, innovations and approaches to our leadership.”
Richard Sampson, president of the LTEN Board of Directors, agrees.
“Hector has had an impressive career in life sciences sales and training, and we’re excited to have him bring his knowledge to the board table,” Sampson said. “In addition to his sales and training experience, Hector has also led teams and directed global training programs. He’s going to add a perspective that will help us meet and serve all LTEN members where they live and work.”
