After more than 10 years of service to LTEN, Executive Director Dawn Brehm has announced her plans for retirement. Brehm will continue in her role until a successor is selected, and will work with the new executive director to ensure a smooth transition for LTEN.
During her tenure as executive director, LTEN has shown an impressive growth in membership – more than doubling these critical numbers under Brehm’s leadership – and improved its financial position significantly, even when faced with an uncertain market. In addition, as head of the LTEN team, Brehm has led the execution of numerous innovations, which have included expanding the certificate programs, growing the self-guided learning opportunities, enhancing the offerings at the LTEN annual conference, developing the Learning Executive Forum and building numerous virtual opportunities for members to network.
Brehm also led and guided LTEN during the challenging environments of 2020 and 2021. Her work has ensured LTEN is ready for this transition to be successful.
“Dawn’s contributions and leadership have been instrumental to the continued growth of LTEN,” said Richard Sampson, LTEN Board of Directors president. “Her focus on adding member value has been a true asset to all of us. I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Dawn on the industry side, as well within LTEN, and she is a treasured friend and mentor to myself and many, many within the organization. The board, staff, advisory council, PIP partners and members will miss working with her tremendously.”
While looking forward to this next phase in life with her family and horses, Brehm said she’d miss the day-to-day contact with her LTEN friends.
“Being part of LTEN for the past decade has been a highlight of my career in life sciences sales and training, and moving on is bittersweet,” Brehm said. “I’ll look forward to working with my replacement to ensure a long and healthy future for LTEN and to continuing the relationships I’ve built with LTEN members during this wonderful professional experience.”
