LTEN Board of Directors members Laura Last and Jeff Hartzler have been named as vice presidents for the board. Their officer terms begin immediately and continue throughout 2024.
As vice presidents, Last, Head of Global Clinical Operations Learning & Development for Beigene, and Hartzler, Head of U.S. Learning & Development for UCB Pharma, will work closely with Greg Adamson, LTEN board president, and other officers to guide and direct LTEN operations.
Last joined the LTEN board in 2020 and is also co-chair of the LTEN Learning Executive Committee, which helps oversee content, resources and programming for the Learning Executive Forum series, as well as serving on the Global Committee and the QRDM Non-Commercial Training Committee. Hartzler, who joined the LTEN board in 2021, is a member of the LTEN Learning Executive Committee and the Global Learning Committee.
“I’m excited to help serve LTEN members in this role, as I know Jeff is,” Last said. “Our experiences with LTEN and as life sciences executives give us a strong foundation to help grow membership and provide resources for leaders and professionals at all levels.”
“I’m looking forward to working in this role as well,” Hartzler said. “LTEN is a vibrant organization full of truly impressive members, and our board is dedicated and committed to keeping that energy going and growing. It’s an honor to be part of the board and LTEN in general.”
Lauren Harbert, executive director for LTEN, praised the appointments of Hartzler and Last.
“Laura and Jeff have been active, committed, involved board members, and I know they’ll fit perfectly into their officer roles,” Harbert said. “Their energy matches with Greg’s, as well as with our secretary, Connie Murray, and treasurer, Jenny Bryan. It’s a strong group of leaders, and I know we’re going to see more great things ahead.”
